On August 21st, Weston Premium Woods was pleased to welcome the Wood Manufacturing Council (WMC), the Society for Canadian Women in Science and Technology (SCWIST) and participants from their Wood Manufacturing Training Program to our facility.
Through the Skills for Success initiative, the program brings together women interested in exploring careers in the wood industry, providing an opportunity to learn more about the field and the career paths it has to offer.
During their visit, participants toured our warehouse, learned more about the products and materials we work with, and got a firsthand look at our day-to-day operations and the many different roles that contribute to the wood industry.
After the tour, the group joined our team for our weekly summer BBQ. It was a great opportunity to continue the conversation and spend some time with members of the Weston Premium Woods team.
